I had the pleasure to speak with Vic Travagliante, Co-Host of HOH TV and lead commentator for House of Hardcore, about their upcoming events in Philadelphia and New York on November 13th and 14th. He works directly with Tommy Dreamer and had plenty to say about their upcoming events.
You can follow him on Twitter @Trav923 and tickets can be purchased here for these exciting events.
You can also see Vic talking about the events coming to Philadelphia and New York below the comments!
What is the idea of running back to back shows?
“We have ran back to back shows in the past. As a matter of fact I believe we ran 3 shows in Philly, NY and California in a span of less than 10 days back in June of 2014. This question is a little above my pay grade but I think it makes sense for there to be back to back shows. You have a guy like Tajiri coming all the way from Japan, why not get 2 shows for his American fans to see him for quite possibly the last time. Overall it just makes sense to run 2 shows in 2 cities that aren’t that far apart. ”
What matches are headlining the events?
“HOH 10 will feature Tajiri/Tommy Dreamer v. EC3/Eric Young…Roode v. Aires…Rhino v. Abyss. HOH 11 is headlined by a NY Street Fight between EC3 and Tommy Dreamer a singles match over a year in the making. Also TNA Tag Champion the Wolves face the Dirty Heels and ECW Original Sabu makes his HOH debut in a Monsters Ball match against the monster Abyss.”
Is there a specific match that can steal the show?
“I truly believe every match can. Each match could be a main event with the roster that has been assembled. At HOH 10 Hoyt vs. Hero both guys wrestler with a chip on their shoulder looking to prove people wrong. Rhino and Abyss, the Triple Threat Match and Roode vs. Aires are all exciting contest. In terms of Roode and Aires they are 2 superior athletes that are at the top of their game and have a blank canvas to work with on Fridaynight. Those 2 will have creative freedom, no time constraints and no one telling them what to do and will make magic. Dreamer/Tajiri vs. EC3/Eric Young so much history between these 4. Tommy and Tajiri made news in Japan about a month ago and for Tajiri is back in Philadelphia for the first time I think in over a decade. HOH 11 Dreamer against EC3 that singles match has been over a year in the making. Sabu will be going against Abyss. The tag team open challenge. Jade vs. Thea with Velvet Sky as the referee. There are just so many great matches that are happening next weekend in Philly and in Queens it really be a November to Remember.”
Talk about your relationship with Tommy Dreamer and what has be done to impact your life?
“This answer can’t justify what he has meant to me. He has given me the chance to learn from him and has passed down knowledge to me that he learned from Paul Heyman, who learn from the late Dusty Rhodes. He is very hands on but also give the roster creative freedom. At the end of the day he gets the final say on the talent and outside of himself I am the only person to appear on all of the shows. He has welcomed me into his home and has sent my son gifts for holidays. I can say enough about what he has meant to be both professionally and personally.”
What should fans know if they have never attended an event and why should they?
“We make sure that every fan has the time of their life. It doesn’t matter if you bought a ticket or the iPPV you paid your hard earned money for a experience and we know that. That is why each show outside of the in ring action has a surprise factor. It kind of is our “thank you” to the fans. You really never know what is going to happen at a HOH show. I always say expect the unexpected. Go back through some of the history Sandman, Spike Dudley, Alberto Del Rio, Team 3D and even Rey Mysterio have all made unannounced appearances during a HOH show. In the social media driven world we live where everyone is second guessing or playing monday morning QB I have yet to see serious criticism about the product and that says something right there. I guarantee that something special and memorable will happen because it always does.”
