Why SD! Won’t Be Switching Nights When it Moves to USA

smackdownAs noted, AdAge.com recently published an article looking at the relationship between WWE and NBC Universal, and how both parties have been trying to woo new advertisers for WWE TV.

One of the key parts of the article reveals that Smackdown, when it moves to USA Network in 2016, will serve as a lead-in for new, original USA Network programming. The first original show, Colony, will premiere in January, and will air at 10pm EST on Thursday nights, meaning Smackdown will not be changing nights when it debuts on USA. The article also notes USA will be debuting a new show every quarter of next year, and if those shows air on Thursday nights, then Smackdown will likely remain in its current time slot at least throughout 2016.

As we reported last night, Adam Rose posted the photo below on Twitter, teasing the return of the infamous Rosebud, “The Bunny”.

The Bunny was actually at ringside for Rose’s match taped for Main Event this week, so it seems very likely he could be returning to WWE TV:
