There are rumors that Lucha Underground may be doing a science fiction based movie and a live event tour sometime in 2016.
During a recent interview, Lucha Underground Executive Producer Eric Van Wagenen commented on season two of Lucha, saying they want to continue to introduce sci-fi and supernatural elements.

Speaking of season two, Lucha Underground may tape 24 total episodes, with two shows taped per night on the following confirmed taping dates:
November
14, 15, 21, 22
December
12, 13
January
9, 10, 16, 17, 30, 31
It was also noted that there are fewer episodes this season as a cost cutting measure.
