Forbes Writer Compares Del Rio’s WWE Return to Lesnar’s Remarks, Predicts Colter TV Politics, New Undertaker SSeries Video

Forbes Writer Reacts to Del Rio’s Return

WZ Daily regular Alfred Konuwa has published a new Forbes piece reacting to Alberto Del Rio’s surprise WWE return tonight.

In the piece, Konuwa references Brock Lesnar’s recent comments to Steve Austin, and analyzes how Del Rio’s triumphant return shows the value in leaving WWE, standing up to the company, making a name for yourself, and not treating it like a dream job.

You can check out the entire piece at this link, and below is an article excerpt:

The timing couldn’t be any better for Del Rio’s return. WWE now has a refreshed big-name wrestler who made a name for himself as the star of the critically acclaimed Lucha Underground series.

WWE also shrewdly brought back Zeb Colter, whose politically-charged rants made him an instant star upon his debut in 2013. The pairing of Colter and Del Rio should prove effective ahead of an election year where Donald Trump and his controversial views on Mexican immigration have dominated headlines.

Del Rio’s return also reinforces a concept that was a subplot of Brock Lesnar’s recent appearance during Steve Austin’s podcast. WWE favors those with the ability to leave the promotion and make a name for themselves. Lesnar told Austin that he views WWE as a job, one which the goal is to make as much money off one’s personal brand as possible.
