NXT in Nashville was a legit sellout. No empty seats in the building.

Pre show Meet & Greet was Apollo Crews who was super nice to everyone.

First match was Enzo & Big Cas with Carmella versus James Jordan and Chad Gable. Enzo and Cas did their stick to a great reaction. Jordan and Gable did an amazing job isolating Enzo before he got the hot tag and the win.

Bull Dempsey pinned The Drifter, Elias Sampson following his finisher.

In a triple threat match for the NXT Women’s Title, Bayley defeated Emma and Alexa Bliss in a match where all three got reactions.

Samoa Joe submitted Baron Corbin in a hard hitting match where both guys legitimately left with welts and scrapes from hitting each other so hard.

Intermission

Following intermission, Apollo Crews defeated Tye Dillinger in a match where both worked the crowd excellently. Crews pinned him following the overhead press slam and standing moonsault.

Next out was Eva Marie to the biggest crowd heat of the night to face Carmella. Eva looked better in the ring than she ever had and worked the crowd awesomely. However, it looked Carmella took a stiff shot to her temple and was out on her feet. Eva quickly rolled her up and Carmella was attended to by a trainer and the referees. I think she was legitimately knocked loopy. I was front row and when she got out of the ring with help her eyes looked a bit vacant.

The Vaudevillians faced Dash and Wilder in a good back and forth match that saw both teams work the crowd and settle into a good rhythm which saw the champs pick up the win.

In the main event, Finn Balor and Tyler Breeze wrestled a great match that saw both men go back and forth before Balor scores the win with the Coupe de Gras.

Notes:

The Nashville War Memorial Auditorium was legitimately sold out with 1600 or so people in attendance. The crowd was into everything and knew all the superstars so I would wager most of them watched NXT regularly.

Eva by far had the most heat and she milked it for all it was worth.

Finn Balor got the biggest reaction of the night.

Overall, go see NXT. I got my money’s worth and more.

To me, the NXT show did not have developmental talent, they all came across as superstars and the crowd treated them as such.
