Brian Fritz of Between the Ropes spoke with WWE Champion Seth Rollins at the WWE 2k16 media event this past week in New York City. Below are some highlights:
-Rollins describes his current WWE Championship run as “incredible”, and he says he loves the pressure of being the champion. He says he has to go out there every night and perform under that pressure, but he enjoys that as he loses his edge when he’s not under pressure.
-With regards to him being the first Shield member to become the WWE Champion, he said he always knew it would be him, but all three Shield members are breakout stars. He said the three of them will likely be trading off title wins for years to come.
-On breaking John Cena’s nose, Rollins said he and the ref knew Cena’s nose was broken the second it happened, and his first thought was “oh shit” as he could hear the sound of Cena’s nose breaking. Rollins said he has seen some nasty injuries in his time in the ring, and Cena’s was as gruesome as it gets.
-Rollins hyped his SummerSlam match against Cena, and said the live crowd in Brooklyn will be amazing:
