As noted, ticket sales for the NXT Takeover live special in Brooklyn, New York were said to be selling very well, easily outselling the NXT San Jose event that drew 4,700 fans.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting the advance sales are actually remarkable, and the building will be arranged for 11,000 seats in a building set up for 13,438; the original seating layout was set up for 6,000, which sold out almost instantly.
The current plan for the show is for WWE to run a three-and-a-half hour live event; three hours of it would be televised WWE Network content.
WWE would start with dark matches at 7:30 p.m., followed by an hour taping for an episode of NXT, possibly airing on 8/26. The actual NXT Takeover live special, headlined by Kevin Owens versus Finn Balor, would air from 9 to 11 p.m.
