The following is an exerpt from the 7/22/15 edition of WrestleZone Daily featuring WZD host Nick Hausman & Chair Shot Reality’s Justin LaBar.
NH: The speculation now is that Kevin Owens may not have a spot on the Summerslam card. Can you speak to that at all? Do you think he’ll be on the show or do you think his big Summerslam weekend highlight will be his match against Finn Balor for NXT?
JL: I think he is going to be on the Summerslam card. I said very clearly, prior to Battleground, that there is no way that Kevin Owens is going to win the United States title. He’s already challenging for the NXT title during Summerslam weekend and Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn are not going to have the United States Champion, the night before Summerslam, competing for the NXT title. I still think he is going to get a match at Summerslam and whether or not it’s with John Cena we will find out. As I said yesterday on my radio show, I spoke with a couple WWE sources and there is legit, chaotic confusion about who Rollins opponent will be at Summerslam. So that decision is going to trickle down and potentially affect Cena. I think Owens is going to get a spot because even Triple H will be able to say to Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon, “Look guys, we gotta put him somewhere. That New York crowd is going to want to see him . “ He’ll draw for this Sunday’s Summerslam, not that it needs that much more help drawing. I do think he will have a spot at Summerslam.
NH: How much money have you donated to Virgil’s Million Dollar Man campaign?
JL: I’m so glad you brought this up. We didn’t even talk about this but Nick, he knows what he’s doing. He’s segueing right into something I want to talk about without even talking to me. I have donated several hundred dollars, transportation and a meal. I’m dead serious. What I mean by that is next week, and I teased this to you weeks ago Nick, next week we will have released something I did in secret. I filmed a special with Virgil a few weeks ago. We have Virgil reading “mean tweets” and social media posts about himself. I also have him doing a Q&A that is in cooperation with a DVD that is coming out next week that is about the “Legend of Virgil and his Traveling Merch Table.” It was done by a close friend of mine and it will be released next week.
