WWE Smackdown Results (7/2) – Wyatt vs Ambrose, Summer Rae’s Apology, Reigns vs Rollins!

Rusev and Summer Rae come out to the ring and Summer apologizes for her actions, eventhough she liked slapping Lana. She calls her a gold digger and says Lana’s loss is her gain, then Rusev says ‘OK’ with the USA chants, and now he has a real woman. Rusev says Summer knows her place but he doesn’t need Lana anymore, and he calls her a blond witch. He says Dolph Ziggler won’t give him anymore problems, and now he will come out in public and say something. Rusev says he is going to crush Ziggler’s head and rip out his intestines, and he lost everything once, so he will make Dolph feel that pain now.

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns

Rollins asks them to count Reigns out since he’s not here, but Reigns cuts him off and makes his way to the ring. Reigns connects with a few early strikes as the bell rings, but Rollins slams him down and stomps his ribs. Rollins sends Reigns into the corner and kicks him, then he hits him a few times but Reigns comes back with a flurry of clotheslines. Mercury jumps on the apron and Rollins goes for a Pedigree, but Reigns slams him back on the mat and calls for a Superman punch.

Noble hits Reigns in the corner and Mercury joins in, then the ref calls for the bell as they all attack Reigns. Dean Ambrose runs out for the save and tees off on everyone with a kendo stick, then Reigns tries to attack Rollins but Mercury and Noble pull him outside. They leave through the crowd but Reigns runs and grabs Mercury, and Ambrose hits him with the kendo stick before Reigns Superman punches him. Ambrose beats the hell out of Mercury while Rollins watches, then Reigns spears him and taunts Rollins as the show ends.

Winner (by disqualification) – Roman Reigns

I’ve said it before, but I absolutely love the dynamic between Reigns and Ambrose. They aren’t a team anymore, but never miss a beat when they are together. They can be pushed on their own, but still have that common bond to work together; it just works. Overall, good in-ring work, but like usual, a few too many recaps and not too much progression. The Rusev promo and the main event were highlights here, with Ambrose/Wyatt also being pretty good.
