Aries dives in and hits a corkscrew elbow for two, then Roode suplexes Eddie and Aries connects with a rolling forearm. He rolls right into Last Chancery as Roode shoves Davey in the corner, but Davey dives back and breaks the hold with a double stomp. Aries knees Eddie but Davey connects with a high kick, then they whip Roode outside and hit top rope double stomps in stereo. Roode narrowly breaks it up and hits Davey with a spinebuster, then Aries connects with a 450 splash and gets the first pinfall of the match.
Aries goes right for a few more pin attempts, then Roode takes Eddie outside and Aries splashes both Wolves into the barricade. Aries rolls him back in and slams Eddie into the turnbuckles, then connects with some mounted punches before Eddie picks him up in powerbomb position. Davey rushes in and assists with a Codebreaker from Eddie’s shoulders, and makes the cover to get the next pin and tie it up. Aries tries to get another quick fall before Roode runs in and clotheslines Davey, then he sets up for a Roode Bomb. Eddie counters with a rollup and shocks Roode with the second pin, and Roode goes for a crossface but time expires.
Winners and NEW TNA Tag Team Champions – The Wolves
This was one of the better Iron Man matches I’ve watched recently. There were some slow spots, but it was still very exciting and all of the pin attempts, and successful pins mattered. I like how they kept it 2-1 and didn’t oversell the concept, it was fun and a good series overall.
