WWE’s new “It’s Good To Be The King” Home Video is available as a 3-disc DVD set or a 2-disc Blu-ray set, both of which feature a documentary on Jerry Lawler’s life and career as their main feature.
In addition to a documentary, the set compiles more than more than 20 career-spanning matches which run all the way back to Memphis Wrestling, plus a number of additional promos and segments too.
Take a look at the full list of selected matches and documentary chapters at this link: http://wwene.ws/1GVxM0r, and read through a revealing in-depth review of the new DVD/Blu-ray at this link: http://wwene.ws/1IyKT78. The review notes that the documentary shows new footage of Lawler’s on-air heart attack a few years ago, and that the DVD has “the King of all extras” (pun intended), mostly due to the inclusion of Memphis Wrestling footage not widely seen in the past; those matches being great pieces of history to own for the first time.
All in all, the DVD has a total runtime of approximately 7 hours and 6 minutes, while the Blu-ray edition has total runtime of 8 hours and 35 minutes with its extras on top.
The following wrestling personalities appear with interview clips in the documentary: Bill Apter, Bill Dundee, Bret Hart, Brian Christopher, Brian James, Gerald Brisco, Harvey Wippleman, Jerry Calhoun, Jerry Jarrett, Jim Ross, Jimmy Hart, Lance Russell, Michael Cole, Natalya, Stacy Carter, The Miz, and Vince McMahon.
