THE TRIOS CHAMPIONS WILL BE CROWNDED ON AN ALL NEW EPISODE OF ‘LUCHA UNDERGROUND’ PREMIERING ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22ND AT 8:00PM ET/PT ON EL REY NETWORK
Three teams have advanced, but only one can walk away with the belt. Tonight, the first ever Lucha Underground Trios Champions will be crowned in a Three Way Trios Tag Team Elimination Match! Battling are those who have proven they are a force to be reckoned with; Cage, Kill Shot, Tejano, Angelico, Ivelisse and Son of Havoc. It doesn’t stop there when Sexy Star takes on Pentagon Jr. The last surviving team wins the title on Wednesday, April 22nd at 8:00PM ET/PT on El Rey Network.
The new 39-episode series from Emmy Award®-winning producer Mark Burnett combines ancient lucha libre tradition, extraordinary athleticism and a flare for theatrics in each hour-long episode. Every Wednesday, viewers will have a backstage and ringside seat as masked villains and heroes tell their stories while facing off to battle for wrestling supremacy resulting in programming that is unlike anything else on the screen.
Jey Uso Injury Update
Injured WWE star Jey Uso posted the following on Instagram regarding his shoulder surgery:
“Been off the grid for a min..thanks for everyones love N prayerz!!! Road to Recovery is NOW!!! This is NOT a “set back” but a “Set Up”!!” Uso isn’t expected back until the Fall.”
