More Backstage Details on Bill DeMott Accusations, Were They Exaggerated?, How WWE Attempted to Prevent DeMott Legal Fallout

bill demottAccording to The Wrestling Observer, while most of the accusations made towards former WWE NXT head trainer Bill DeMott are from incidents which happened back in 2013, some of the accusations date all the way back to DeMott’s first run as a developmental coach, which ended in 2007.

Amongst other reasons, issues with DeMott are why WWE had security cameras installed in the Performance Center, so all training could be recorded, in case any lawsuits were ever filed against WWE. As we previously reported, WWE is expecting lawsuits to come out of the recent Bill DeMott allegations and his subsequent departure from the company.

Additionally, the long standing issues with DeMott were not a secret in the company, and many employees were surprised DeMott had a job with WWE as long as he did. The situation was described as a time bomb waiting to go off, and eventually it did.

With regards to the accusations made by former developmental talent Austin Matelson, while most of the stories were essentially true, some were exaggerated. Despite this, WWE’s “full investigation” claim into Matelson and other accusations has been heavily criticized by many in developmental, at least by those who are talking.
