Backstage News on Vince’s Reaction to Lesnar at UFC 184

We also noted that during Lesnar’s meeting with Vince McMahon at Raw last week, one of the things discussed was Brock Lesnar working for UFC in addition to working for WWE. It was noted Vince McMahon did not have a problem with Lesnar wanting to fight for UFC while under contract with WWE, however according to Reddit user MetsFan4Ever, Lesnar told Vince he wanted to attend UFC 184 to begin contract negotiations with the promotion. Vince was reportedly strongly against the idea of Lesnar attending a UFC event while under contract with WWE.

Needless to say, according to F4WOnline.com, Vince McMahon was not happy when Lesnar did in fact appear at the PPV Saturday night.

I’m not sure how similar the situations were, but if you recall, when CM Punk was working in WWE he had an issue in which he wanted to accompany Chael Sonnen to the Octagon for a fight, but Vince would not allow it. Punk has publicly talked about the issue, saying he feels a double standard exists in that he was not allowed to accompany Sonnen to the ring, but Triple H was allowed to accompany Floyd Mayweather to the ring.

Lawler DVD News

According to PWInsider.com, the WWE produced Jerry Lawler DVD will be released this May. WWE has reportedly acquired a lot of Memphis material for the set.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
