TNA Impact Wrestling Results (2/27) – Spud/Anderson vs EC3/Tyrus, Taryn Challenges Kong, MVP vs Lashley!

Taryn Terrell comes out and says being Knockouts Champion is a dream, considering all of the talent in the locker room. She says everyone wants to take her down, including Awesome Kong, so if she wants a shot at the title, then she can come and try and take it. Gail Kim comes out instead and says she respects Taryn, but she doesn’t know what she is getting into when she is challenging Kong, who is the toughest women in wrestling ever. Gail says Kong is a force, and she asks if Taryn really wants this, and Taryn says she is a fighter and a champion, so she needs it.

Gail nods and leaves, and Taryn plays up to the crowd and raises her title in the air. The lights go out and Kong ends up in the ring, and Taryn throws a few forearms and dropkicks her. Kong hits the turnbuckles but rebounds with a clothesline, then she hits Taryn with an Implant Buster and holds the Knockouts Championship in the air.

BP: Not a great segment, but I still enjoyed it. Taryn has been on a good roll lately, and this kinda knocked her down a peg, so to speak. She’s definitely improved a lot in the ring.

Austin Aries is asked for his thoughts on tonight’s main event, and he says it’s been full of twists and turns lately. He says he is going to put his work clothes on, because he knows the perfect ending for tonight’s show and hints at a cash in.
