Controversy Creates Cash

wwe live event resultsWWE Superstar Seth Rollins caused quite a bit of controversy this week, after nude photos of both himself and a developmental Diva were leaked from his social media accounts. The story going around is that Rollins’ now-ex-fiance got wind of a possible affair, and took revenge on her Money in the Bank boyfriend. The story reached mainstream media and Seth has issued an apology, but word backstage is that the heat isn’t on him, since he really had no control over what was happening.

Speaking of controversy, Joanie “Chyna” Laurer claimed that Triple H physically assaulted her during their real life break-up, after confronting him about his hidden affair with Stephanie McMahon. Hunter, of course, came back with a very politically correct response, attempting to clear his name.

And one more, because it wouldn’t be WrestleMania season without a bunch of dirty laundry being aired about the WWE. Darren Young spoke out on Twitter against the recent Abu Dhabi tour, questioning why WWE would choose to run shows in a country where being homosexual can land you in jail. He says it’s all about the money, which it obviously is. WWE came back with a very politically correct, very corporate response. They basically said it’s not up to them how various governments choose to make their rules. That’s true. It’s also very evident that the company put Darren front and center when it came out that he was gay, then did nothing with him and made him delete his Tweets when he spoke out against an anti-gay issue. So they’ll bank on his positive media coverage, but as actually stands up for a cause, they abandon ship.
