The Rock Returns to WWE, Roman Reigns Talks WrestleMania on Post-Show, This Year’s Surprise Entrants & More; Did Kane Break the All-Time Record?

the rockThe Rock made his WWE return at tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, coming to the aid of his real-life cousin Roman Reigns during a post-match attack by Big Show and Kane. After Reigns won the Rumble match and guaranteed his spot at WrestleMania, the two stood tall in the ring, staring down Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. 

After the PPV went off the air, Rock and Reigns were found backstage by WWE cameras and cut a promo exclusive for the WWE Network post-show. 

The legendary names that returned for this year’s Rumble match included Bubba Ray Dudley, Diamond Dallas Page and The Boogeyman. Zack Ryder also made his return from injury, but was quickly eliminated. 

As expected, Kane surpassed the record for all-time Rumble eliminations, previously held by Shawn Michaels. He now holds the record at 43.
