Multiple title changes took place that will all be rolling out over the next few weeks. Bobby Lashley became the World Champion once again, while Austin Aries and Low Ki traded the X-Division title for fun.
In perhaps the biggest move in women’s wrestling for several years, Awesome Kong made her return to kick off a highly anticipated program with Havok.
Jeff Hardy took a nasty looking bump off the top of a steel cage at the Lockdown taping in New York. Rumors swirled that the injury sustained was legitimate, but according to multiple sources, it was done to write Hardy off television for the upcoming UK tour.
There was a major paradigm shift of the TNA roster, with Samoa Joe, Eric Young and Low Ki all joining the new heel faction “BDC” alongside MVP and Kenny King. Lashley left the group and is now considered a top babyface with Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode. The major singles programs going forward look to be Lashley vs. MVP, Joe vs. Angle and Roode vs. EY.
