HIDEO ITAMI vs. CURTIS AXEL
Axel goes right after Itami, attacking him in the ropes. He starts throwing knees and the referee backs him off, but he goes right back to it. Axel controls for several minutes after a hard knee lift to the jaw, slowing down the pace with a side headlock. He drops a knee to the back and yells “who is this guy?” at the fans. The distraction is enough for Hideo to recover, as he gets the boots up in the corner. He does the tilt-the-whirl over the top rope spot and follows up with a top rope elbow drop for a two-count. Axel counters a kick and tries for the Perfect Plex, but Hideo breaks free and levels him with the Busaiku knee kick for the 1-2-3.

Backstage, Natalya is asked about the return of Total Divas, but is cut off by her husband Tyson Kidd. Tyson talks about feeding their cats mouth-to-mouth, and tells her to go check on them. Kidd says he’s looking past Finn Balor and their match next week, and focusing on becoming the next NXT Champion. Weird promo. Lots of cat references.
