12/22 WWE Raw Viewership Details: Did Ho-Ho-Hogan Boost Numbers After Last Week’s Year Low? Note on New Year’s Episode & Top 10 Moments from Raw Christmas Special (Video)

wwe rawAfter last week’s shocking low performance, the expectation for this week’s episode of WWE Raw were that numbers would be even worse, as the Christmas episodes are generally some of the least watched programming of the year. The highly competitive Monday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals added even more obstacles for WWE this week as the two teams battle for high seed spots in the AFC just one week before the end of the regular season.

Despite the odds stacked against them, “Ho Ho Hogan” and the Christmas-themed episode of Raw saw an average of 3.631 million viewers tune in. The score was still among the lowest of 2014, but up over 3.5% from last week’s show. The first hour saw 3.632 million, and the second hour grew to 3.907 million viewers. Raw ended with a low 3.354 million in the third hour to bring down the average.

It will be interesting to see if the show continues to gain momentum heading into the new year. Next Monday night will be the first show in over 3 months without competition from the NFL, and it falls between the Christmas and New Years holidays.

WWE has posted the Top 10 moments from this week’s show, seen below.
