12/1 Wrestlezone Recap: CM Punk Takes Over the Internet, Sting Debuts, Daniel Bryan as General Manager, Plus More of Last Week’s Biggest Wrestling Headlines

tnaIn TNA news, which there isn’t much of these days, Josh Matthews may in fact be replacing long-time voice of Impact Wrestling, Mike Tenay, as the lead play-by-play man on Wednesday nights. The decision was made as a part of the big brand “re-launch” set to take place in January for the jump to Destination America. HERE is their return to television announcement. They will have a TV taping in New York at the start of the year, and a major TV taping in the UK after those shows make air.

New Japan World is a new online streaming service where you’ll be able to watch every single major NJPW event live, much like the WWE Network. It’s less than $9.99 per month, and if you can tolerate the all-Japanese website, it runs incredibly well and the layout is about 10 times better than the WWE Network.

Konan might have been arrested…? While hanging out with Rey Mysterio and MVP…? So WWE, TNA and Lucha Underground walk into a bar…

This wasn’t a big news story, I just wanted to plug the King Mo interview from last week again. He gets a lot of crap from the pro wrestling community because…well, because TNA. But he’s a die-hard wrestling fan and his knowledge of the business is admirable. He’s an MMA fighter who loves wrestling, saw an opportunity through Spike TV to chase a dream, and regardless of how that works out, I can’t hate the guy.
