-Bram comes out and says that he wants to systematically destroy the brotherhood of hardcore. He tells Devon and Bully Ray and the lot of them that their time is up, and calls down his “brother”, Magnus. Out comes the former world champion, who rants on all the part-timers and new guys alike, saying it doesn’t matter who gets in their way, because he’s the guy that breaks glass ceilings. He says it’s their time now, and Bram wonders how good his world title reign would have been if he was this brutal back then.
-Out comes Devon, who tells them to shut the hell up. He says he would have beaten Bram in their hardcore match if Magnus didn’t interfere. He brings out his friend, the innovator of violence, Tommy Dreamer. All four guys immediate collide on the entrance ramp and start brawling all around the ringside area. The ECW guys get chairs, and it ends in a stand-off with the babyfaces in the ring, and the heels retreating up the ramp.
KILLAM: Really solid segment. I honestly haven’t covered Impact in several months, since BP took over, and this was my first experience with Bram. Gotta say, I’m impressed. This is how they should be using the old school guys, to build up newer talents that want to take out the veterans to make more room for themselves.
