Dixie Carter Reportedly Addresses TNA Locker Room, Tells Talent a New TV Home is Likely in January, More on Which Networks Are in the Running

dixie carterAs we noted earlier in the week, WGN America, The Velocity Network, and 2 other networks are currently the front runners to pick up Impact Wrestling if/when they officially part ways with SpikeTV. It was noted that SpikeTV is not one of the networks currently in the running, although Spike has publicly said negotiations between the network and TNA are ongoing.

According to a new report by Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net, TNA President Dixie Carter addressed the TNA locker room at some point during the Bethlehem, PA Impact Wrestling tapings, and wrestlers were told she believes Impact will have a new TV home by January 7th. She also said she was happy with the decision to move Impact to Wednesday nights.

Multiple TNA sources believe a new TV announcement could come as early as this week, with other sources claiming the announcement might come closer to the Bound for Glory broadcast.

Dixie Carter might have dropped a hint that WGN America was negotiating with TNA back on September 10th, as she posted a Tweet noting she was in The Windy City, and Tribune Media Company, who owns WGN America, is based out of Chicago.
