AJ Lee vs Nikki Bella
Nikki and AJ fight to the floor, then Nikki whips AJ into Paige (at commentary) before rolling her in for a near fall. Nikki applies a sleeper and swings AJ around, then she applies an armbar and slams AJ on the mat. She gets a near fall before whipping AJ into the corner, then she charges the corner but AJ sidesteps her before making her tap out to the Black Widow.
Winner – AJ Lee
John Cena vs Randy Orton
Seth Rollins and Kane come out to ringside as the match begins, then Orton works over Cena and stomps him as we go to a break. We get back to see Cena attempt a crossbody, but Orton ducks and Cena hits the floor. Orton takes the commentary table apart before he sets up a hangman’s DDT, but Cena backdrops him on the floor before Orton comes back with a backbreaker. Cena hits Orton a few times and connects with a side slam, then Orton powerslams him for two and blocks a suplex before hitting a top rope hangman’s DDT. Orton mocks the crowd and calls for a RKO, but Cena shoves him back before putting him in a STF, only to have Rollins and Kane break it up.
Winner (by disqualification) – John Cena
They all stomp Cena and Rollins tells Orton and Kane to drag him outside, then he takes the commentary table apart and sets up a Curb Stomp. Kane goes to reveal the cinder block pile like before, but Dean Ambrose jumps out and start swinging wildly. He knocks Kane back and tackles Orton and Rollins from the table, then he clotheslines Rollins before Kane grabs him by the throat. Cena breaks it up and hits Kane with an Attitude Adjustment, then Rollins runs through the crowd as Cena and Ambrose stand tall.
BP: I think the majority of people knew Ambrose would be hiding, but it still ended up being a good ending segment. I didn’t really see anything new out of Orton vs Cena, nor did I really care, but Rollins/Ambrose is what is working. The bad blood between the two is a good story, and both guys are playing their roles well. With that said, tonight was pretty forgettable besides the Ambrose segments and the IC title match.
