9/14 Wrestlezone Recap: NXT Takeover 2 Fallout, Sean O’Haire Commits Suicide, Kenta Makes NXT Debut, Latest Bound for Glory News & More

This week’s top wrestling news story was the shocking death of former WCW and WWE star Sean O’Haire. TMZ later reported that he had committed suicide, and updated the story stating that he had participated in WWE sponsored rehab several times over the past six years. 

hideo itamiThe biggest event of the past week was NXT Takeover, which was re-dubbed “Fatal 4-Way” at the last minute. The show has to be considered a huge success, with a “Match of the Year” candidate main event, and a solid card to back it up. Several of the top stand-outs from NXT will now be touring with the main WWE roster, including Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze. Japanese wrestling star Kenta Kobayashi, who has been hyped as the “biggest international signing in WWE history” made his anticipated debut at NXT Takeover. Going forward he will be using the name Hideo Itami. His first match has already been pre-recorded and will air on next week’s show.
