Olympian Talks WWE Tryout
During a recent interview with Guampdn.com, Guam Olympic wrestler Jeff Cobb discussed his tryout for WWE which took place last week in Orlando, FL.
Cobb represented Guam at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and was the flag bearer for the country in the opening ceremony. He became a pro wrestler in 2009, and had the following to say regarding his WWE tryout:
“[The WWE tryout] was one of the coolest things I’ve done in my life. Being able to be there and seeing these guys you see on TV, seeing these legends that are there watching you do your craft and giving me feedback. It’s amazing…The Olympics is one thing and pro wrestling is another thing. Both experiences are my top two so far, personal and professional.”
HHH Says He Wants NXT to Rival the Main WWE Roster
During a recent sit-down interview with Michael Cole, posted over at WWE.com, Triple H talked in-depth about this past week’s NXT Takeover 2 event, and the following are some highlights:
-Triple H compared NXT to ECW, but said he hopes one day it will become more like WCW and actually rival the WWE main roster product.
-Triple H revealed Takeover II was the #2 most social program on prime time Thursday, including all cable and network shows.
