Ring of Honor All Star Extravaganza 6 Results: New World Champion Crowned, Superkick Party, Adam Cole vs. AJ Styles & More

Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are back, after a 15-minute intermission. Maria is wearing a bright red rain jacket, and says she needs to get on her knees…and pray. She prays to the great god of wrestling and has an announcement of Biblical proportions – Matt Hardy is coming back to Ring of Honor. And now to the matter at hand, what is underneath the rain coat? Mike tells her to take it off, and she disrobes to reveal Jay Briscoe’s old world championship belt, with Mike and Maria’s faces on it, covered in pink felt and feathers. He calls it the “title of love” and wants to consummate their relationship in the ring. Mark Briscoe runs out and stops them, and chases them to the back.

Ring of Honor TV Championship
Jay Lethal (c) vs. Cedric Alexander

As soon as the bell rings, Cedric slaps the taste out of the champ’s mouth and dropkicked him to the floor. He follows up with a dive to the outside, and begins chopping him around the ringside area. Back to the ring they go, with Alexander staying in control with knee drops and dropkicks, until Lethal reverses an armdrag into a dropkick. Cedric comes back with a kick to the back of the head to change gears. They end up brawling to the floor and the challenger tosses Lethal into several barricades. The referee ends up getting taken out, and Truth Martini attacks Alexander from behind. The heels take out an iPhone and start taking selfies with Cedric, who recovers and attacks Truth, then takes out Lethal with a DDT off the second rope. Both guys are up and trading elbow shots, and Alexander gets the best of the exchange. He hits a vertical suplex, then rolls it into a second, and a third and gives the crowd a little “Latino Heat” shoulder action for good measure. He comes off the top rope and Lethal catches him, looking for the Lethal Combination, but Alexander reverses the move and comes off the second rope with a huge spin kick. This time Cedric goes to the top rope, coming down with a splash, but the champ catches him in a Koji Clutch. Cedric breaks the hold, counters the Lethal Injection, but is still caught in the Combination for a close two-count. Lethal now teases going for the Sharpshooter, but instead decides to be a heel and starts tuning up the band for Sweet Chin Music. Alexander catches the kick and takes him down with a hurricanrana. Sparx comes from the back and gets in the ring, ends up taking a corner splash, and Cedric is able to hit a double leg backbreaker for the 1-2….no, Martini puts the champ’s leg on the bottom rope. Lethal yells “TAVEN” and hits Matt Taven’s Climax move, then hits the Lethal Injection for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Jay Lethal
