Stars Sign With Talent Agency
WWE Superstar R-Truth and Ring Of Honor’s Maria Kanellis have signed on with Advanced Management, according to TheWrap.com.
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with both Ron and Maria,” said Advanced Management’s Gary Reichman. “Their extraordinary personas coupled with their backgrounds in wrestling, make them unique individuals for casting. We anticipate much success with them both.”
The article lists Truth’s and Maria’s accomplishments in wrestling and in other media. Truth is working on a hip-hop album and Maria has been a reality show contestant, as well as recording her own EP.
Advanced Management, a division of Up Late Entertainment, is a Los Angeles based company, founded in 2011.
ROH Owner Starting Sports Network
Ring of Honor’s parent company, Sinclair Broadcasting Group, is starting a new sports network called the American Sports Network, according to a report by Broadcasting Cable.
The network content will feature sports from Conference USA, the Colonial Athletic Association, Big South Conference, Southern Conference, and Patriot League. The channel will launch in advance of the fall football season. Sinclair stations will carry the games on the primary channels, generally its CW and MyNetworkTV affiliates, or on subchannels.
BP: No indication was made, but you have to wonder a little bit about how this might effect ROH TV. Some people might be used ROH airing at a certain time, but some conference football games, especially in Conference USA and Big South may have more national appeal and would get priority.
