-Chris Jericho vs. Luke Harper is announced for WWE Smackdown this Friday night.
Sheamus vs. The Miz
The Miz comes out first in shades, followed by the US Champion. He spends a few minutes bailing from the ring, not wanting to lock up. When he does start the match, he attacks Sheamus in the ropes until the referee makes them stop. Sheamus goes back on the attack with right hands and elbows until Miz – once again – bails to the outside and takes a breather. Sheamus starts chasing him around the ring and attacks him from behind. They brawl around the ring until Miz takes a cheap shot and rolls back in; Sheamus barely answers the count by ten. White Noise and sets up for the Brogue Kick, but Miz narrowly avoids it. He geoes for a knee-lift right into the “money maker”, but Miz kicks him the champ in the face. Sheamus with a backbreaker, and once again sets up for the Brogue Kick. Miz cowers in fear, and Sheamus takes advantage by rolling him up for a 3-count.
Winner: Sheamus
KILLAM: I think I actually liked the Divas segment most of all, despite it being really short and not much more than a pre-show filler for this weekend’s PPV. Naomi was just great on commentary, and I can’t praise her enough for her work this year. Sheamus and Miz were OK, but nothing really special. The tag match was OK, but a lot of selling and not much in the way of chemistry, which happens when two guys don’t team together frequently. Still, six people on the show tonight were promoting one Battle Royal for a title which now appears to be at least somewhat relevant, so I’m grateful for that.
