Kofi Kingston & Big E vs. Curtis Axel & Ryback
Axel starts things off with a side headlock on Kofi. The Intercontinental Championship is at ringside as per usual. Big E tags in and Axel tries for a headlock but can’t take him over. Big E storms through him with a shoulder block and Ryback tags in. The two big men collide with Big E lifting him up for multiple backbreakers. Kofi tags in and comes off the top rope, dropkicking Ryback’s arm as they work him over. Axel tries to get involved and is dropkicked to the outside. Big E throws Kofi over the ropes, taking out both their opponents as we roll into a commercial break. After, Big E drops the strap and looks to put away Axel, but Ryback takes him out from behind. The two heels tag in and out, working over Langston for several minutes, as the commentary team runs down the list of Sunday’s battle royal opponents. A small “we want Kofi” chant breaks out. After about five minutes of the heels beating up Big E, Kofi finally gets the hot tag and starts running through Axel with dropkicks and high elbows. He hits the Boom Drop and sets up for Trouble in Paradise, but Ryback provides a distraction. Kofi counters his finisher and does his threw-the-ropes-kick thing, followed by a springboard crossbody. Ryback picks him up for Shellshock, but Big E hits the ring and hits the Big Ending on him. Kofi with Trouble in Paradise to Curtis Axel for the 1-2-3.
