-El Torito defeated Hornswoggle in the pre-show for tonight's WWE Payback pay-per-view and WWE Network special event. As a result, Torito and Los Matadores shaved Hornswoggle's head bald as 3MB looked on.
-There were loads of CM Punk chants as Payback kicked off, but as we reported Paul Heyman addressed the issue to start the show and they have yet to pick back up. Instead, the Chicago crowd has started chanting "we want Ziggler" and "let's go Blackhawks" during slow points in matches.
-Curtis Axel and Ryback defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust at WWE Payback tonight. Ryback caught Rhodes out of the air and hit him with Shellshock for the pinfall victory. After the match, Cody took a microphone and told his brother that he deserved a better tag team partner, before throwing the mic on the floor and walking out on Goldust. It would seem the split between these two has finally kicked off, as has been teased since the Royal Rumble in January.
-The match between Bo Dallas and Kofi Kingston never really happened, as Kane's pyro went off as soon as the bell rung, and the Big Red Monster came out and assaulted Kofi. The referee immediately rang for the bell, and an official decision was never made.
