Batista's Last Night on RAW
Last night's episode of WWE Raw may have been the last for former world champion Batista, who is expected to take some time off in promotion for the Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy film in theaters later this summer. He is not expected to work the Money in the Bank PPV in July, and the future is unknown regarding a SummerSlam return and his participation going forward. It was originally reported, however, that he had signed a two-year contract prior to the Royal Rumble PPV in January.
Plans for Daniel Bryan & Kane
Despite WWE teasing an angle where Daniel Bryan is forced to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Stephanie McMahon, the belief is that he will resume his feud with Kane once he is healthy enough to compete on a full-time basis. The Wrestling Observer has a new report up stating that the two are expected to have a Buried Alive match – the report states "at TLC" but we suspect that is an error, and their match will likely take place at Money in the Bank, and not six months from now.
Bryan is already being advertised for some house show events in the near future, and it's likely the early 6-8 week estimate may have ever been a bit high. The surgery was apparently a success, and the time period for his return could be significantly shorter than previously assumed. Anything can change, but at this point Bryan should be back in action in just a few weeks.
