The Legionnaires vs. El Local & Kalisto
Legionnaires seem to be a new French team – it's Sylvester Lefort and a new guy named Marcus Louis. Obviously a foreign heel gimmick.
Louis slowly picks apart Local for several minutes, until running into a big kick to the side of the head. Kalisto gets a hot tag and comes in with a big springboard crossbody. A springboard corkscrew splash takes down Lefort. Louis back to save the match, but he ends up battling to the outside with El Local. Kalisto with several kicks, followed up with a springboard splash (shades of Tajiri) for the win.
Winners: El Local & Kalisto
KILLAM: A nice, high-action, high-flying, high-intensity match that spotlights the debuting Kalisto – the former world traveler Samuray del Sol. I actually missed a few minutes of live reporting because I was getting into the match. Nice debut. I hope to see more of him. As far as in-ring ability goes he's right up there with the best of them. That's worked super well for the likes of Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd – we'll see where he goes.
