Why WWE is Airing Main Event on the Network

TNA Loses Germany Deal, New One in the Works?

Thanks to Himanshu Doiphode for sending in the following:

In episode 131 of fernsehkritik.tv yesterday Friday was Kai Blasberg, CEO of Tele 5, a guest and announced that from April 2014 a fringe sport will find their new home at Tele 5 that are not described by many people as a sport. This could be possibly or probably involve wrestling.

Since the current contract between TNA / IMPACT Wrestling and Sport 1 to 01 Expires in March 2014 and has so far apparently not extended, is now speculated that the shows from TNA / IMPACT Wrestling from April 2014 could possibly be broadcast there.

Alternatively, it would also be possible that the WWE could have with their shows there found a new home on German free TV. It is known that WWE shows were from 1989 to 1992 and also from 2003 for some years very successfully aired on Tele 5 before the WWE finally changed with their shows to DSF / Sport 1, where one was replaced last year by TNA Wrestling / IMPACT Wrestling.

It finally remains to be seen which fringe sport Kai Blasberg, CEO of Tele 5, has meant by his statement.
