Austin Aries sits down with MVP and says he listened to Bobby Roode, so now he wants to hear what MVP has to say. MVP says they both want someone great on their team, and Roode was just telling him what he wanted to hear. Aries says MVP is probably going to do the same to him, so MVP says he wants the best on his team and Aries can be that. Aries says he wants to be the referee in MVP's match with Roode so he can see them both up close, and MVP asks why he wants that. Aries says he needs to trust him to team with him, then MVP agrees and Aries leaves.

Jeremy Borash puts Kurt Angle over and plays a career highlight reel, then Kurt comes to the ring and JB inducts him into the TNA Hall of Fame. Kurt thanks his family and says he wants to make them proud, then he thanks the locker room and the fans, and says it's a great night to be him. Ethan Carter III cuts him off and says this is emotional, but he has his own tribute to show and plays a clip of Ethan injuring Kurt three weeks ago. Ethan comes to the ring and says Kurt has a torn ACL and MCL, and he needs surgery so he should just retire.

Kurt asks why he's in the ring when he could tear his throat out, and Ethan says Kurt's banged up and he could outrun him. Kurt says he should have confirmed with a real source, and he has no torn ligaments, and asks if he still wants to be in the ring. Ethan backtracks and says he doesn't want to be here, and Kurt says he gets it, but he shouldn't try and make his name on him. Kurt hits him and sends him out of the ring, then informs Ethan they will fight at Lockdown, and it's his Hall of Fame present from MVP himself.
