The Very Latest Backstage Details on Sin Cara’s WWE Status, Note on Xavier Woods/JBL Raw Commentary

The Latest on Sin Cara's WWE Status

sin cara's wwe statusPrior to the new year, Sin Cara seemed to get a revived push in WWE, as Hunico donned the mask when the original Sin Cara, played by Mistico, headed back to Mexico.

Controversy regarding the status of the character in WWE was sparked last week, however, when Mistico did an interview with Tercera Caida, during which he claimed he owned the rights to the Sin Cara character and fans would not be seeing the character in WWE anymore.

F4WOnline.com is now reporting that WWE has once again given up on the Sin Cara character, despite Hunico now wearing the mask and playing the role, but it's being said the character will remain on WWE TV due to merchandise sales, and because the character will be appearing in the upcoming Scooby-Doo movie. It has yet to be confirmed whether or not Mistico's comments regarding owning the rights to the character has played into WWE's decision to give up on Cara's push.

JBL/Woods Raw Commentary

F4WOnline.com is reporting that JBL's Raw line about East Carolina University being the "Harvard of the South" was almost certainly fed to JBL directly by Vince himself. Both Vince and Linda McMahon attended East Carolina University, while Xavier Woods got his degree from Furman, which is likely why Vince inserted the jab during Woods' commentary last night.
