WWE Las Vegas Announcement Update
TechnologyTell.com has posted a new article about the upcoming WWE announcement in Las Vegas. The major event — taking place at the Encore Center on January 8th — is supposed to include a "groundbreaking" announcement by Vince McMahon.
WWE has released an official invite to the public, even offering transportation to the event. A picture of the invitation can be seen at this link.
The article confirms the list of WWE stars, past and present, that will be attending the event. Steve Austin, John Cena, Shawn Michaels and Triple H are all scheduled to appear alongside Vince McMahon for the announcement.
The WWE network was also mentioned in the TechnologyTell piece, continuing speculation that the network's official announcement will take place at this event.
Finally, it appears that Justin LaBar's report of WWE using nontraditional methods for distribution of the new network, such as online-online subscriptions, is the direction WWE is leaning. The Wrestling Observer reported earlier this week that WWE would need one millions subscribers (around $10-15 per month) to break even.
