WWE Polls Fans Regarding New Projects, a Retail Store & New DVD Idea, Does Goldust Deserve a Comeback of the Year Slammy?

WWE Polls Fans

goldustAccording to PWInsider.com, WWE has issued another fan survey, this time polling about potential new projects, including WWE themed retail store, similar to that of The Disney Store. The other ideas are as follows:

-A WWE Animated Movie, described as a film for the "entire family."

-A WWE Fitness DVD, featuring WWE personalities presenting "inspiring training techniques." The talents listed as potential hosts were AJ Lee, Randy Orton, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Natalya. The idea would be a DVD featuring a male host and a female host.

-WWE Sponsored dinners – WWE hosted dinners with talent to raise money for charitable organizations.

WWE has also polled fans asking them whether or not they would be interested in purchasing "Before They Were Stars" DVD sets.

Does Goldust Deserve a Comeback of the Year Slammy?

Scott Fishman of The Layfield Report has posted a new blog, explaining why he feels WWE should add a Comeback of the Year category to the Slammy Awards, and issue the first one to Goldust. The following is a blog excerpt, and you can read the entire piece at this link.

The categories for the 2013 Slammy Awards have already been announced, but there is one more that should be added.

Other award shows have honorary trophies they present to veteran performers who deserve it. I think this year the Academy of Wrestling Arts and Sciences should recognize Goldust for "Comeback of the Year".

He began the year as an entrant in the 2013 Royal Rumble. The appearance was believe to be a one-night only appearance. However, the son of the "American Dream" found himself back in the mix and part of the storyline involving his brother Cody.
