Ryback interviewed with Times of India and discussed several things, including his workout and diet regimen, the sacrifices of being a WWE superstar, and the origins of the name "Ryback".
Several interviews with Ryback tend to focus on his eating habits and workout routine; this one was no different. "I eat all the time," Ryback said, "I eat everything from chicken to steak to egg whites. I'm on the run all the time and if I stop at a restaurant, I order at least two omelettes with chicken. I eat eight to 10 times a day. And I work out for three hours, with yoga and stretching, strength or weight training and conditioning."
An interesting point of the interview came when Ryback was asked about the sacrifices of being a WWE superstar, to which he replied, "The WWE told me if I wanted to be the best, the best bet was to stay single and not start a family."
Ryback continued: "I'm a loner and that is what I've given up to be what I am. I've had girlfriends, but at this point, I have to do what I need to do."
The WWE star also mentioned that his name stemmed from being called "Silver Back" as a kid. That was also his first wrestling name before ultimately being called "Ryback".
