Dixie Carter Returns to Television; Tito & Rampage Jackson Pulled From Impact Wrestling?

Dixie CarterTNA President Dixie Carter returned to television tonight on the No Surrender edition of Impact Wrestling. While meeting with general manager Hulk Hogan, Dixie announced that MMA legends Rampage Jackson and Tito Ortiz have been pulled from their product by Bellator. The story is that Bellator was not happy about how physical a role the two fighters have played in TNA, and they are pulling Tito and Rampage to protect their upcoming debut pay-per-view.

For the last few months, Rampage Jackson has aligned himself as a member of the Main Event Mafia, while Tito sided with the Aces & Eights later into the summer. While this could all be part of an elaborate story, it's also possible that TNA is responding to the negative criticism of bringing MMA stars into pro wrestling, and scrapping the angle altogether before Bound for Glory.
