TNA Impact Wrestling Results (8/29) “Must Win Thursday”, Hulk Returns, Makes BFG Changes & Two New Title Matches

AJ says it might not be either of those things, but maybe he finally realized that the only person he could trust is himself. AJ says it should be clear that he is on his own, and the perception of him may have change, but his view on the business also changed. AJ says he is better than the best in the world, and this is just a job to him now and everyone can relate to having that one job that sucks. He says they can relate to being passed over eventhough he's the hardest working guy there is, then he looks at the cameras and tells Dixie Carter he deserves more.

AJ says he's been 'the guy' for the past 11 years, but they keep going in different directions and hope he picks up the pieces and carries them. AJ says he almost prayed he'd get fired so he didn't have to quit, but he has a family to care for so he started tapping people out. He says something finally clicked and he likes being the 'go-to guy', and he wants to be the one who steals the show and makes the fans happy. AJ says he can still do what he wants and he can still carry the company, and they are damn right he can win the Bound For Glory Series and the TNA World Championship.

Bound For Glory Series
AJ Styles vs Bobby Roode

AJ sweeps Roode's legs and goes for the Calf Killer, but Roode gets under the ropes and breaks it so they stand off before Roode calls for a tie up. Roode knees AJ and kicks him in the corner, then he whips him into the ropes but AJ leapfrogs him and chops him before hitting a dropkick. AJ plays to the crowd as Roode rolls outside, then AJ leaps to the ramp and takes Roode out with a springboard moonsault and follows with a backbreaker. AJ goes up top but Roode catches him and hits a spinebuster, then he stomps AJ and gets a near fall before hitting a vertical suplex for another two count. Roode pulls AJ's arms back and drives his knee into his back, but AJ frees himself and chops Roode a few times before clotheslining him. (Cont'd…)
