Taz is shown trying to get into the building, but security won't let him in and he says he is pissed off and doesn't deserve this. The guards say there's nothing they can do, but Taz tells them he is going to make a phone call right now and take care of this. Taz continues to yell at them and says they are both done when he gets through with them, then he storms off as we go to the opening promo video. After this, a #August 1 Warning video plays and the mystery man says they all made guesses but the reveal is upon them tonight, then Austin Aries makes his way to the ring. Aries says there's a lot going on here, but it's all focused on the World Heavyweight Championship.
Aries says the first thing he needs to do is congratulate Chris Sabin for knocking off Bully Ray, but his praise comes with a warning that he is a target. He says Sabin is going to have to deal with him, and he will be the one to beat Sabin for the title, but tonight they will have a great main event tonight. Aries says they've been asking for this 'dream match' since he got there, and tonight will be the first time they get to see him face AJ Styles. Aries says they are two gifted athletes and AJ put TNA on his back for a decade, but he is the man who will carry the company for the next decade. He says he will erase doubts of him if anyone has them, then Bobby Roode cuts him off and says if he wants to brag and talk about dreams, he's been living a nightmare.
Roode says it's been hell since Aries beat him for his world title, and everyone knows he's had a crap year, but they also forgot how good he is in the ring. He says he is going to change everything tonight, and he is going back to what made him great in the first place, because he wants his title back. Roode says he'll show them it pays to be 'Roode,' and Aries says he agrees with him, and he hopes he does put it together because he wants to beat him in the Bound For Glory Series finals.
