WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley comes out with a steel chair, wearing a suit coat over a t-shirt. He says that originally he was offended when John Cena handed him a steel chair – does he know who he is? Ryback makes his way out and asks what a steel chair is supposed to do to help an old man? Foley says that he was offended when Cena gave him the chair, but now he realizes his time is well past done.
Mick asks Ryback what happened to him. He aks him if he knows how many times Foley found himself on his back without any help, but then says it doesn't matter, because he didnt' count. He got back up, and he did the best he possible could. Foley calls Ryback a future WWE Champion, but the difference is that Mick did it with honor and pride and passion. Ryback tells him to shut up, and stop coming out to the ring to relive his glory days and sell DVDs like he still matters.
Ryback says he sent a message to "Super Cena" that he wanted a title match, and he got it. And at Extreme Rules, if Foley, "Super Cena" or any of the stupid people in the O2 Arena have a problem, he simply doesn't care anymore. Ryback says that Foley is standing in the ring holding a weapon, and calls him a fat, pathetic bastard. Mick holds up the chair, and Ryback tells him to look in his eyes. The two come face-to-face and Ryback throws the chair out of the ring. They circle each other until Cena's music hits and the champ rushes the ring and gets between them.
The Shield's music hits, and they make their way down to ringside as Cena gets out of the ring and leaves Ryback on his own. Shield attacks Ryback, but Cena hits the ring with a steel chair and chases them off. He chases after them, beating each of them down with a steel chair, and then gets back in the ring to face the Ryback. They stare each other down, and Cena hits Ryback with the AA out of nowhere.
Raw goes off the air with Cena posing on the entrance ramp and Ryback looking on from the ring.
