2/28 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – New Champion Crowned, Kurt Angle Uncovers the Leader of Aces & Eights

(3) X-Division Championship

Rob Van Dam (c) vs. Kenny King

The two exchange holds until Van Dam explodes out with a huge German suplex, causing King to retreat to the corner for a  minute. He catches the champion posing, dropkicking him to the outside, but gets caught with a kick as he tries to follow up. They brawl around ringside with Van Dam doing his classic spinning legdrop off the arpon, over the barricade.

King is in control following a commercial break, mounting RVD in the center of the ring and firing away with rights and lefts. The Champ shook off King and battled back, heading up to the top rope. He tried for the Frog Splash, but King rolled out of the way. Pin attempt; King gets two – barely. Royal Flush connnects! 1…2…3!

Winner and NEW Champion: Kenny King

The Aces & Eights make their way down to the ring. Tonight's band of merry men includes Devon, DOC, Mike Knox, Ken Anderson and Garrett Bischoff. Devon tells Sting to stop drinking the Hulk Hogan Kool-Aid, because the Aces & Eights are here in TNA to stay. He says Sting will lead his team to the slaughter at Lockdown, which brings out the Icon to the entrance ramp.

Sting introduces his Lockdown team: Samoa Joe, "The Cowboy" James Storm, and Magnus. He then says they need a fifth man, and he wanted to think outside of the box. Sting says at Lockdown it will be "showtime" – Anderson interrupts and tells him to cut the catchphrases and get down to business. Sting tells him he doesn't understand, because it's SHOWTIME! Eric Young hits the ring from behind and the faces rush the ring to start a huge brawl, which they win.
