2/28 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – New Champion Crowned, Kurt Angle Uncovers the Leader of Aces & Eights

(2) Austin Aries vs. Hernandez

Aries uses his speed to avoid the big man, but none of his strikes or high flying manuevers have any effect. Hernandez powers Kazarian across the ring with a shoulder tackle, and dead lifts him back to his feet. The action spills to the outside, where Aries gets the advantage, hits the ring and gets a suicide dive to the outside. The champ heads to the top rope and does the Guerrero shoulder pop, but crashes and burns with a Frog Splash attempt. Hernandez comes over the top rope with a flying shoulder block, before tossing Aries with a huge military press.

Austin Aries grabs his title belt and tries to leave, as he's had enough of this match. Supermex catches up to him and they brawl back into the ring. The referee takes the title belt away, and Aries uses some sort of small foreign object we can't quite see – probably a chain – and picks up the victory.

Winner: Austin Aries

Matt Morgan runs into Sting backstage, and has apparently stolen Mike Knox old beard. Sting challenges Morgan to do the right thing and go to war with TNA against the Aces & Eights. Morgan tells him he should have thought about that when naming the number one contender, and walks off.
