WWE Reports Fourth Quarter PPV Buy Numbers, Survivor Series Sees a Big Drop

WWEWWE released a final number for their fourth quarter pay-per-view buys as part of their quarterly earnings report. The report stated the October Hell In A Cell event, headlined by Ryback versus CM Punk, drew 199,000 buys. In comparison, the 2011 event drew 182,000 buys while the 2010 event brought in 210,000 buys.

November's Survivor Series saw a slight increase in buys (compared to Hell In A Cell), bringing in 208,000 purchases in 2012. The 2010 and 2011 events brought in 244,000 and 281,000 buys respectively. Finally, the Tables Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view brought in 175,000 buys, compared to 195,000 in 2010 and 179,000 in 2011.

Overall, WWE drew $13.0 million in the fourth quarter, down twelve percent from the 2011 fourth quarter. It should also be noted that last year’s fourth quarter also included the Vengeance PPV, which was cut from the 2012 schedule.
