Todd Keneley, Taz and Mike Tenay welcome us to one of four remaining TNA PPVs of 2013, Genesis, live from the Impact Zone in Orlando, FL. They run down tonight’s championship matches, as Matt Morgan and Joey Ryan make their way out for our opening contest.

(1) TNA World Tag Team Championship Match
Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez (c) vs. Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan

Chavo and Ryan start this match as the two smaller guys, with Ryan winning the first lock-up and forcing Guerrero into the corner. Ryan plays to the crowd but gets caught by the veteran as a result, and big Hernandez gets the tag. A huge splash connects in the middle of the ring, and the Champs keep up with the quick tags to hold up their momentum. Chavo in again, and he gets thrown into the corner but backflips off the top turnbuckle and lands behind Ryan, nailing him with a dropkick.

Ryan tags out to Matt Morgan, and Hernandez joins the match to go face-to-face with the big man. They stare each other down, with Morgan getting the better of the power match-up. Shoulder tackle takes down Hernandez, and the heels beat down on him in the corner. Morgan stalks Supermex and nails him with a big headbutt; quick tags continue, allowing them to both be in the ring to wear down Hernandez. Eventually Brian Hebner gets frustrated with the tags behind his back, and tells them to knock it off. The heels are completely dictating the pace of the match thus far.

Joey Ryan off an Irish whip runs right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, and Supermex finally gets the hot tag to Chavo! Guerrero springboards off the top rope and takes Ryan out with several headscissors takedowns. The Three Amigos connects, and Chavo heads to the top turnbuckle, but Matt Morgan gets in the ring and literally stands in front of Ryan, begging Chavo to do something. Herhandez hits the ring but the faces get caught in a chokeslam hold. The counter the move and nail him with stereo dropkicks. Hernandez plants Ryan with a huge powerbomb, and Chavo hits the frogsplash for the win.

Winners and still champions: Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez

Backstage, Ken Anderson is interviewed by Jeremy Borash. He talks about being challenged to the next match by Samoa Joe earlier today, and how everybody is so afraid to have a little fun and branch out in TNA. He says he’s not allowed to hang around with certain guys, if he wants to hang around with other guys in the locker room; it’s like a big clique. He says he takes responsiblity for Angle getting injured, and thanks them for the compliment. He tells Joe the same thing is going to happen to him, just stay tuned.
