As we come back from break Sonjay Dutt makes his way down to the ring for an X-Division Championship match. Tenay and Taz wish Jerry "the King" Lawler a speedy recovery; classy move by TNA.
X-Divsion Championship
Zema Ion (c) vs. Sonjay Dutt
The action immediately spills to the outside, where Sonjay hits a moonsault off the apron to take down the Champion. Back in the ring Sonjay hits a beautiful standing hurricanrana into a pin, but only gets two. Zema gains some momentum and works his opponent in the corner briefly, but Sonjay is able to break free and send Zema flying with a headscissors takedown. Sonjay is absolutely taking it to the Champion, and hits the moonsault double foot stop; another two count as Zema gets his foot on the ropes.
After the failed pin attempt, Sonjay goes back up to the top rope, but Ion gets to his feet and knocks Dutt off the ropes, landing on his neck. The Champ takes advantage and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Zema Ion
Following the match Ion attacks Sonjay and locks him in a submission as the referee continues to call for the bell.
Backstage: The World Tag Team Champions (of the World) are in Hulk Hogan's office making fun of the Hulkster. Hogan walks in and informs the Champs that they'll be competing in singles matches tonight. Daniels will be facing either Hernandez or Chavo Guerrero, while Kazarian will be facing either Kurt Angle or AJ Styles. If either of the Champions lose, they'll have to face the victorious team in a Championship re-match.
