Cena calls him a liar and a scumbag, then he says Montreal is honest because they tell the truth whether they want it or not, and he'll do that to Punk now. He says the championship has been irrelevant since Punk won it, and there's no conspiracy against him because Punk promised change. Cena says Punk just wanted to be a star, and Punk said he was the enemy, but he only went from an underdog to the odds-on favorite by being himself. Cena says Punk stabs people in the back and steals moves and colors from legends, and it's because he hasn't found himself yet.
Cena says Punk doesn't get it all by being champion, and he needs to find an identity because he's been loud the past few weeks, but he's in jeopardy of losing. Cena says something in French and the crowd pops, then Punk says Cena lowered himself to their standards, but Cena says he didn't lower himself at all. He says they are the reason they are there, and he translates what he said and tells Punk he wants to win at Night of Champions, but he is just going to kick Punk's ass. Punk gets in his face and throws a punch but Cena blocks it, then he takes his shirt off and tells Punk to fight him. Punk doesn't do anything, then he tries to punch Bret but Bret blocks it, and he punches him in the face and Punk takes off with his title.
(Note: Michael Cole says Jerry Lawler's condition has stabilized, and he is breathing on his own and still awaiting a CAT scan. He says they will continue to update the fans on the internet and on social media, then he wishes Lawler luck in beating his health scare and tells the audience goodnight.)
