Impact Wrestling Results (9/6) – Tag Team Championship, RVD Eliminated, Aries Gets Aces & Eights & More!

Joey Ryan is Still Around?

We come back from break and Al Snow is already in the ring talking about Joey Ryan. He says Joey got his attention, and he offered an invitation for him to show up on Impact tonight. Ryan is shown coming through the crowd and Snow asks if he has something to say. Ryan tries to cut a promo but Al Snow is talking over him. Snow tells him "enough" and says that he will grant Joey Ryan a TNA contract if he can go through "Gut Check" one more time, with no judges; simply "win and you're in." Ryan accepts after some deliberation, and Al Snow says he has to go through him before slapping the taste from his mouth. Joey Ryan bails from the ring and says he's going to sue the company.

Bully Ray appears backstage and scares the hell out of Joseph Parks. Bully says he's not hear to fight, and brings up the Aces & Eights. He asks if Parks found anything out, but he's not allowed to talk about  it because of "attorney/client relations".

Austin Aries is backstage, and the guy that attacked him last week is tied up to a chair. Aries basically threatens to torture him if he doesn't start talking.

Commercial Break

-Hogan is backstage with another tag team segment. Robbie E says that the other two teams have been a team for about four weeks, while him and Robbie T have been a team for a long time. Kid Kash starts going off on all of them, but Hogan says Kash and Gunner are out, and the other two teams are in!

Bound for Glory Series Match
Bully Ray vs. Rob Van Dam

Bully RayThe two veterans stare down in the middle of the ring. Van Dam does his "RVD" taunt, and Bully makes him look at his calves. They tease the first lock-up, but Bully hits RVD with a kick to the gut and takes him down. Bully stalks his prey on the mat, looking a bit like Randy Orton as he goes to work on limbs with big kicks.

Van Dam gets back up and we get another lock-up, which RVD takes control of with a side headlock. Bully escapes by throwing Van Dam off the ropes, but he lowers the head and RVD rolls over, before hitting a superkick square on Bully's jaw! Ray takes a break on the outside, but Rob launches himself over the ropes and connects (not before posing again, of course).

Back in and Bully Ray regains control in the corner, going to work on Van Dam's leg. Things go down to the mat, as Bully continues to punch away on his opponent's leg. Bully sets Van Dam in the corner and gets in referee Earl Hebner's face, but Hebner gives him hell and causes a long enough distraction for RVD to get back into it with a spinning wheel kick. Bully Ray is down and Van Dam connects with Rolling Thunder, but only manages a two-count. The Monkey Flip connects, followd by a beautiful moonsault crossbody; two-count only. Van Dam tries to connect with a springboard kick to the jaw, but the Bully steps out of the way and lands a monstrous big boot!

Bully tries for Big Show's second rope splash, but misses (of course…). RVD finally hits the kick off the ropes, and goes up top for the Five Star Frogsplash, but Bully Ray hits the Bubba Cutter (RKO) in mid-air! Bully Ray picks up the victory, and Van Dam has been eliminated from the Bound for Glory series…

Winner by pinfall: Bully Ray
